I
have been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember.
My training as an architect has led me to concentrate on
buildings and their relationship to the landscape. I enjoy using
colour:
even in Shetland there is an amazing range of colour although
blues and greys can dominate. Most of my work
is in watercolour and gouache. My subject matter is usually
the Shetland landscape as well as North Africa and
the Middle East. I have exhibited in Shetland for a number
of years: at the annual open exhibitions at Bonhoga Gallery,
at Vaila Fine Art and as part of various art group
exhibitions. I also exhibit with the Society of Architect
Artists in Edinburgh and Glasgow and as part of group exhibitions
with Shetland Artists in Scotland and Scandinavia.
